Phased Refurbishment for The Ritz Grade II Listed Property
Blend’s role encompassed the design and integration of advanced AV and IT systems throughout the hotel, including both front-of-house (FoH) and back-of-house (BoH) areas. The project includes approximately 140 guestrooms, various food and beverage areas, a new rooftop bar, and the spa and wellness facilities. As part of the site is a Grade II listed building, careful consideration was taken to maintain the historical integrity while incorporating modern technology
Seamless Integration of AV Systems
The Ritz’s status as a Grade II listed building imposes strict regulations on modifications, particularly regarding its exterior and historically significant interiors. To address these challenges, Blend designed AV systems that blend seamlessly with the hotel’s decor. For instance, invisible plaster-in speakers and other discreet technologies ensure high-quality audio without compromising the aesthetics of the luxurious spaces.
