Enhancing workplace technology: M&G investments’ AV transformation

As part of the Project Roman initiative, M&G Investments London consolidated several offices into 10 Fenchurch Avenue. This relocation presented an opportunity to significantly enhance their workplace technology, particularly the Audio-Visual systems. Blend was appointed to provide AV consultancy and project management services, designing all AV systems for various spaces including huddle areas, cellular offices, AC/UC/VC meeting rooms, collaboration zones, an auditorium, a TV studio, a green room, a restaurant, a gym, and the reception area.

Seamless integration of AV system overhaul

M&G Investments had minimal existing standards for AV systems, necessitating extensive product appraisal and capturing use requirement. Blend’s active involvement in the design process required the creation of documents comparing product functionality, cost, and user needs for each key choice. A crucial requirement was a user-friendly, intuitive, and consistent AV experience across various room types, enabling effective video and audio conferencing with or without personal devices. Blend issued a detailed AV tender design, facilitating an efficient review process, and worked with the appointed AV integrator to create three mock-up meeting rooms during the pre-construction phase. This Proof of Concept phase ensured stakeholder confidence in the AV design. Blend’s hands-on approach continued through the completion, resulting in high-quality, intuitive AV systems that met M&G’s initial brief.
