Cutting edge technology for grade-II listed hotel

Hyatt Regency London Blackfriars is located in the historic Square Mile, directly outside Blackfriars station, and is a short stroll from St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Tate Modern and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. The Grade II-listed five-star hotel is steeped in regal history, residing on the former grounds of King Henry VIII’s Bridewell Palace. Blend were appointed to provide AV, IT, Security and GRMS Consultancy services in relation to the conversion and refurbishment of the hotel from its previous existence as a Crowne Plaza Hotel. Seamless coordination & technology Integration

When Blend was appointed, the Main Contractor was already in place, and the design programme was extremely demanding. The Client had also invested in various technologies over the years, necessitating the retention of existing systems where possible. Our challenge was to design AV, IT, and Security systems within tight timelines while ensuring compliance with the enhanced Hyatt Brand Standards. Goldfingers Vault bar’, conference & meeting / event spaces. We successfully met the design and procurement deadlines, ensuring all systems—both new and retained—adhered to Hyatt’s requirements. A key aspect of our role was liaising between the Employer’s Agent and the Hyatt IT team, coordinating PMS/POS licenses, configuring retained IT hardware, and preparing on-site contractors for the seamless delivery of Hyatt’s IT infrastructure and guest-facing technology.
